"Everything" is a Windows search engine that quickly locates files and folders by filename. Unlike Windows' built-in search, it displays every file and folder on your computer by default, living up to its name. The keywords you enter in the search bar filter the displayed results. A fresh Windows 10 installation with around 120,000 files only takes 1 second to index, while indexing 1,000,000 files takes roughly 1 minute.
"Everything" uses very minimal system resources. A fresh Windows 10 install with ~120,000 files only requires about 14MB of RAM and less than 9MB of hard drive space. Indexing 1,000,000 files needs around 75MB of RAM and 45MB of hard drive space.
